Simon Alexander Dip BS; Dip BTh; B Th. Dip PL; B App Theol
Simon came to faith in Jesus when he was 24. He is an extravert who loves being around people and enjoys engaging with all sorts, from youth to the elderly.
He has worked as a forestry worker, a welder, a heavy machine operator and, in tunnelling. He attended New Covenant International Bible College, became a dairy farmer and a Christian camp manger; and then studied at Carey Bible College before becoming the pastor at Te Awamutu Baptist church in 2012. In his spare time Simon enjoys keeping fit by running, playing squash, snowboarding and kayaking. He loves to spend time with his wife Louise, just pottering around the house or going for walks together to talk and reflect. Reading is important and stimulating for Simon and his most favourite thing is the coffee that he and Louise enjoy together at the beginning of the day whenever possible.
